Personality Bio
Hometown: Florissant, MO (St. Louis suburb)
Birthday: October 10, 1953 and proud of it!
Previous radio gigs or other interesting job experience: My radio experience has truly been some of the best days of my life. Starting in Washington, Mo, a small town, playing music from the "Time of Your Life" and reading the funeral announcements three times a day. Then it was onto the "Oldies" format, working stations in St. Louis, Mo., playing the music that "I Grew Up With". And then also getting the opportunity to start as a "Fill In" here at 97.1. This lead to my overnight work here. That's when I knew that I found my calling! My previous work experience has covered a "Wide" gammet....from following in my father's footsteps right out of high school and working in construction (specifcally as a Cement Mason) onto the radio industry. Also, I've been around music all my life, working in different bands while in high school and throughout my adult life.
Family: I have two adult children whom I couldn't be more proud. My son is a school teacher (teaching in the Gifted program, married with a 14 year old step-daughter, and a daughter, Mallory who's 2 1/2. My other child, my daughter Jill, is a flight attendant, married. She and her husband Matt, have a son Mason, born last May 28, 2010. And then of course, there's Janice for me. We've been together for the past couple of years. You hear me speak about her on the air all the time.
Favorites
Food: I'm a meat and potatoes kind of person, and love just about anything that's "Well Done"
Movies: My favorite movies include Gone With The Wind, Footloose, and just about any baseball movie. Field of Dreams, still makes me cry.
Sports teams: I love baseball, and yes I'm a St. Louis Cardinals fan...which also means I root for any team that may be playing the Cubs.....
Artist or group: My Favorite artists are just about any Oldies artist...yes, I truly love hearing the music over and over....
